I love doing outdoor family sessions, and have literally witnessed kids and families growing up through my annual outdoor sessions during the last 8 years!
Why do I love getting kids outside?! While I can definitely capture some awesome giggly smiles in studio, there’s no denying – kids love to play outdoors. To explore, to play and to just be in the fresh air. I mean, can you blame them?!
Whether your session is with me, or you are snapping your own cell shots, have some fun and go for those candid shots too! Tell a funny joke, say “boogers”, pull your funniest face. Trust me! It works and you will capture your child at his or her best! Laughing!
In the summer I love to bring bubbles, and play with the fall leaves in the fall. The key is to make it fun for the kids. While I do start with some more formal posed shots, my favourite time begins when I let the kids take over the session while I catch up and snap some shots why they are just in their element!
